Cougs empower their communities locally and globally through leadership. At WSU we provide students with education and experiential opportunities to develop and refine these skills. This newly established collaboration between University Recreation and Student Involvement offers programming to engage and train in interpersonal skills, problem solving, communication, conflict resolution, goal setting, public speaking, planning and team building.

Leadership is getting players to believe in you. If you tell a teammate you're ready to play as tough as you're able to, you'd better go out there and do it. Players will see right through a phony. And they can tell when you're not giving it all you've got.
