  • Dr. Joshua Fredenburg: Becoming More Emotionally Intelligent as a Leader!

The emotional intelligence of a leader is so impactful that emotional intelligent scholars suggest that leaders with high emotional intelligence will not only be more effective as leaders, but they will manage stress, inspire, build positive relationships, and work with others better than those who might be lacking within this area. To help emerging leaders build the emotional intelligence that is needed to make a lasting impact as a student leader, Dr. Fredenburg not only helps emerging leaders develop a better understanding of emotional intelligence, but he teaches emerging leaders how to increase their Emotional Intelligence as a leader through the Daniel Goldman Model of Emotional Intelligence.

  • Gabriella Bedoyan: Intercultural Communication and Leadership

Intercultural Communication can be challenging, due to the complex nature of global communication styles, values, gender roles, and the specific needs of a community. Becoming a strong intercultural leader challenges that individual's role, ability to empathize, resolve conflict, communication flexibility, and overall cultural awareness. This session will explore the skills needed to be a leader in an ever-increasing globalized world.
