Recruitment Information
Fraternities and Sororities at Washington State University are each a part of a larger governing council who assist in facilitation of recruitment processes. While the councils facilitate the larger recruitment periods, each organization is responsible for their own membership decisions.
The first step in all recruitment processes is registering for the recruitment process that you’re interested in. Registration opens for each academic year in early summer and closes in early August.
Choosing the Right Council
Multicultural Greek Council & National Pan-Hellenic Council
The Multicultural Greek Council at Washington State University is made up of eight sororities, four fraternities, one co-ed organization, and one Aztec brotherhood. Each organization is culturally based, including Asian American, Pacific Islander, Latinx, Native American, and multicultural. While organizations are culturally based, no organization is exclusive to any cultural background, meaning anyone may join.
By registering for MGC recruitment, you will be sent reminders for each community recruitment events (Multicultural Greek Recruitment Week), then students will meet members of the community and be able to attend their recruitment events the following week.

Panhellenic Council
The Panhellenic Association at Washington State University consists of 14 sororities out of the 26 National Panhellenic Conference organizations, which began in 1902.

Interfraternity Council
The Interfraternity community at Washington State University consists fraternities, each chapter offers a unique experience for a student’s time in Pullman. In the IFC community you can make friends that will last a lifetime while enhancing your personal and leadership growth.
Fraternity and sorority chapter facilities are not owned, operated, nor managed by Washington State University. Each chapter facility and Greek letter organization is controlled by its respective national organization, local chapter and/or housing corporation. Students and families should familiarize themselves with the policies and culture of each organization prior to joining.
